A Dream of "Jianghu"

I remember someone saying, "What is 'jianghu' (江湖, the martial arts world)? It's wherever there are people!"

As a child, I longed for the jianghu of the martial arts world, a place where I could laugh defiantly, sword in hand, with unwavering loyalty. I always dreamed of becoming a chivalrous knight-errant, robbing the rich to help the poor!

As I grew older, I gradually understood that it was just a spiritual yearning. What man hasn't had a childhood dream of the jianghu? Now, our land of China is under attack by a virus, and the epidemic is escalating. As a modern-day "knight-errant," although I can't roam the martial arts world, I can still demonstrate "chivalry" in the ordinary…

While families celebrate the New Year with their lights on, I embarked on my journey back to the front lines of the fight against the epidemic. Every day, I made countless phone calls, checking on everyone stranded in the city because they couldn't go home for the Spring Festival—their health, their food, clothing, shelter, their actual difficulties, and providing them with psychological support! Although I sometimes suffer inexplicable cold shoulders, I still keep smiling...

Natural disasters are merciless, but people are compassionate. My "jianghu" is crying, and I must raise my sword and stand firm. Even if I am "shattered to pieces," I will still "laugh and roam the jianghu"!
