Solo travel
With the help of high-speed rail, solo travel became much smoother. Buying tickets online and paying by card made me feel quite trendy. The bullet train, the elevated highways, and the grand and magnificent stations—these external factors ultimately overcame the constraints of the ticket price, allowing me to pack my bags and set off.
My body hadn't moved, but my heart had already traveled far. As the train sped forward, my mind soared. When I brought my gaze back, the scene before me felt like a dream. A beam of morning light shone through the window, shimmering with golden light, and the music inside the train seemed to come alive, playing cheerful tunes. People took out their phones and cameras, eagerly capturing this beautiful moment. The train sped forward, 250, 280, 285—the numbers on the display screen in the middle of the carriage constantly refreshed, while the scenery outside the window flashed by like a movie, flowing past like clouds.
The journey itself is a process of enjoyment. Looking around, most people are busy—reading books, newspapers, some with notebooks spread across their chests, surfing the internet. And those like me, listening to music with headphones, are numerous. The most pleasant sound in the carriage is the laughter of children, clear and bright, making even the heart feel lighter. The child in front of me belonged to the mother; she ran past me several times before finally returning to her seat, exhausted. Next to me was an elderly man, white-haired but with a youthful face, seemingly a traveler from his attire. He leaned back, lost in thought. The young man next to him occasionally asked where I was from and where I was going, and I would give him brief answers, but I was careful not to make any absolute statements—a necessary precaution when traveling.
The train continued its journey. With a good mood, a clear direction, and beautiful scenery along the way, my spirits were exceptionally high. If I were to add a proverb, it would be—"Safe journey!"
